Annual Baptism Bash

Baptism Bash 2010

This year marked the begining of the Baptism Bash. What is one of those I hear you ask? Our churches really value the gift of children. They are not just the church of tomorrow, they are very much a part of the church right now. We believe that they enrich the life of the church and we wanted to celebrate them and those who faithfully bring them for Baptism, to Mum's 'n' Tots and to Sunday School. Elizabeth opened the Rectory to be used for a Garden Party for our Sunday Club children and for families who had had children baptised over the last year. It was a lovely atmosphere and felt like a great way of celebrating their commitment of bringing their children up in the Christian faith. There were all sorts of games and toys for children of all ages to enjoy (Esther and I particularly enjoyed trying them out). The weather was very kind to us and stayed fine which meant that we were all able to enjoy drinks and nibbles in the garden and enjoy each other's company. Here are some of the photographs from the day.
