THE PARISH VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT

The Church of England in the Parish of Knaresborough aims to present the Christian Gospel in such a way that it may be known and joyfully experienced by all people.

Welcome to Holy Trinity within the Knaresborough Anglican Team.

Our recently renovated 166ft spire is an important landmark in our town. A symbol of a living faith, it pinpoints our fine Victorian church building, which is set in tranquil grounds, an oasis of peace just yards away from the bustling market place. Why not come and have a look: you’ll find us through the stone archway on Briggate. On Wednesday and Friday afternoons until the 1st of October our church building is open to visitors.

Our Sunday Eucharist takes place at 10.30 a.m. with incense used on the first and third Sundays. On the second Sunday we celebrate our ‘all age’ Eucharist with a welcome for the newly baptised and their families. We are delighted to baptise infants and adults and marry qualifying couples. Please contact our Parish Administrators, either Clare or Sue, who are based in the Team Office (Clare usually works on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Sue usually works on Wednesdays). The office is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm. The office phone number is (01423) 869209.

Each Wednesday at 10.00 a.m. we celebrate Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer, with a short homily. Evensong and Saints days are held as advertised on the main notice board.

Holy Trinity is justly famous for its hospitality, in worship and our shared life. Teas are available on the first Sunday of the month, with delicious homemade baking, sandwiches and soups. Quiz nights are regularly held in our hall, with Quiz master Tom Gibson testing our wits. We have a regular fellowship and study group, as well as enjoying meetings and fellowship as part of the Parish Ladies and Mothers Union.

Holy Trinity is a place where the family of God meet together to share in his risen life, with all the joys and sorrows we experience. Together, we seek to grow in our faith and live out our discipleship in the community. Why not join us? You will be most welcome.
