What Else We Do at St Mary's

Mission Goldsborough

Goldsborough Mothers Union Fashion Show - May 2013

On Thursday 23rd May we held a fashion show at the M & Co store in Knaresborough and raised £325 which will be divided between the Caravan Fund and the Literacy & Numeracy programme in developing countries. Our seven volunteer models did us proud, performing an excellent fashion parade tinged with a sense of fun and joy. The first part of the show was devoted to casual wear and one of our models was brave enough to show off her curves in a swimsuit. The second part showcased formal wear and we saw some very striking long summer dresses. All the clothing on show is available to purchase at the M & Co Store.

Our models also flashed their 'gelish' nails which were painted free of charge by 'Swish' of Knaresborough.

The event was well attended by members, friends and families and was enjoyed by all.

I would like to thank the staff at M & Co for all their hard work in putting on the event, Swish of Knaresborough, the brave volunteer models who really rose to the occasion and all who supported us.

Easter 2012

Dear All,

I am delighted that the 17th Jarping Championship (Easter 2012) raised a magnificent £394. We donated £150 to the Malawi Burns Trust and £244 to the Little Voices Christian School in The Philippines. The Headteacher of the Little Voices School is visiting Goldsborough School in July when I hope to introduce her to the two Jarping Champions who are pupils at school.

Many thanks, Lance
